A few seconds before sunset

Often, as a Landscape Photographer. you go out not entirely sure what you will get. On this occasion I was out on a trek with Hannah Young to check out the sunset potential at Durdle Door, on the Jurassic Coast of Southern England. As we walked over the cliffs from Lulworth Cove I must say that the sky was looking rather heavy. Even about 30 min before sunset we were very doubtful if our 120 mile journey would pay off.

Then as sunset came we got this amazing sky and the light after the sunset was beautiful. These things just happen. You can't plan for them, but it helps to be in the right place with your camera and tripod at the ready.
